Why LeBron Changing Numbers is Good for the Cavs

Most people might see LeBron James changing numbers as a tribute to Michael Jordan (forget about all of the NBA greats who wore Number 6), but it means much more to Cavs fans.

With the 2010 free agency bidding starting in July, it seems that LeBron James might be staying in Cleveland with his new Number 6 jersey. If LeBron James really wanted to leave and switch numbers, there was nothing stopping him from doing that with free agency, but he filed the papers on Monday to ask the league to allow him to switch.

The big step that he took to stay in Cleveland was filing the paperwork. After all is said and done, he still might leave, but until July, Cleveland and it’s fans have reason to hold onto the notion that the King will still reign for years to come.
